Patryk Korczak

Director of Music and Musical Mission

Patryk read mathematics at Durham University and held the organ scholarship at Durham Cathedral under the direction of Daniel Cook for a year. He assisted the cathedral organists in the playing of services, directing the choir, and the training of choristers and probationers. He has also directed the music at The College of St Hild and St Bede and Hatfield College, Durham.

As an experienced organist, Patryk has played for services at Durham Cathedral, St Paul’s Cathedral, Beverley Minster, York Minster, and other cathedrals with visiting choirs. He holds the Associateship of the Royal College of Organists (ARCO) and the ABRSM Diploma in Performance (Singing). He is a qualified teacher having studied at the University of Cambridge.

Cosima Rodriguez-Broadbent

Vocal Coach

Cosima Rodriguez-Broadbent FRSA is a freelance mezzo-soprano with a wide-ranging career in both choral and solo performance. She began her musical training as a chorister at the Brompton Oratory, where she performed annually at the Royal Opera House. In 2010, she sang Monteverdi’s 1610 Vespers under Sir John Eliot Gardiner at the BBC Proms and recorded for the soundtrack of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, conducted by Alexandre Desplat.

Cosima studied Music at the University of York under distinguished directors including Peter Seymour and Robert Hollingworth, before continuing her studies at the University of Cambridge. There, she was a Choral Scholar at Downing College under David Lowe and Louisa Denby and later completed a Master’s in Education.

Alongside her performing work, Cosima is Director of Music at Queen Elizabeth’s Girls’ School in Barnet. She also serves as the Vocal Coach at St John the Baptist, Chipping Barnet, where she trains the choristers and supports the wider running of the church’s music. In addition to her musical responsibilities, Cosima is the Parish Safeguarding Officer, helping to ensure that the church remains a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Jonathan Gregory

Associate Organist

Jonathan Gregory is Associate Organist at SJB and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.  Jonathan is also a member of the Cathedral Organists' Association.

A former Organ Scholar of Clare College, Cambridge, he has been Director of Music in Belfast and Leicester Cathedrals, and in the parish churches of St George's Belfast and Great St Mary's Cambridge.

Now retired, he conducts the UK Japan Choir and accompanies Evensong and other services at St John's, whilst being also Director of Music at St Mary's Monken Hadley, and playing when required at St Mark's Barnet. He examined for ABRSM for many years, visiting Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam and Singapore.

Jonathan was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun by the Japanese Emperor in 2011 for his services to UK-Japan relationships.
