Study groups

At SJB, we believe that growing in faith is something we do together — through conversation, questions, shared insight, and a bit of cake and wine along the way.

Each year, we run informal study groups during Advent and Lent, usually following a book by a thoughtful and accessible theologian such as Paula Gooder or Rowan Williams. These groups are open to everyone — whether you’re new to Christian thinking or have been reflecting on it for years.

Discussions are relaxed and welcoming, with space for everyone’s voice. We laugh, we think, we sometimes disagree, and we always learn something together. And yes — there is always cake.
