Church at SJB isn’t just about Sundays — it’s about community, celebration, and life shared together. Throughout the year, we host a wide range of social events that bring people together across all ages and backgrounds. Whether you’re a regular at church or just visiting, you’re warmly welcome to join in.

Highlights include our joyful participation in the Barnet Christmas Fayre, with visiting choirs, festive music, mulled wine and homemade cake — always a favourite! In summer, our Party on the Green draws a big crowd for BBQ food, Pimms, cakes, and a bouncy castle. We also hold pre-loved sales, cheese and wine evenings, children’s activity days, and celebrations for national occasions like VE Day.

Our much-loved tower openings offer the chance to climb to the top of our church tower — the highest point between here and York Minster — for incredible views across Barnet and beyond.

We also host concerts and musical events, featuring both our own musicians and visiting performers. As part of our expanding musical mission, we’re aiming to offer more concerts and music-based gatherings in the near future — bringing people together through the joy and beauty of music.
