Worship

Worship is at the heart of everything we do at SJB. It is the centre from which our life flows—our joy, our community, our mission. We gather to worship because we believe that in worship we are drawn more deeply into the life of God, and into the life of one another. Through word, sacrament, silence, and song, we encounter the God who created us, redeems us, and calls us to love.

Our worship is rich and reverent, drawing deeply from the Church’s liturgical traditions while always seeking to be hospitable, accessible, and rooted in the life of our community. The Eucharist lies at the centre of our common life: the place where Christ is made known in broken bread and shared wine, and where we are made one.

We believe worship should be beautiful and nourishing. It should lift our hearts, form our souls, and shape how we live. At SJB, it is our joy and calling to offer that worship to God together.
