SJB Welcomes “Prelude to Music by Jack’s Lake”
St. John the Baptist Church is delighted to host a very special event as “Prelude to Music by Jack's Lake”.
We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the magic and musical spirit of Jack’s Lake concerts within the beautiful setting of our historic parish church.
We are proud to welcome an exceptional ensemble of musicians who will present a vibrant and uplifting programme, including a unique arrangement of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. The evening will feature performances by: Ilona Domnich – Soprano; Charles Mutter – Violin & Piano; Neil Varley – Accordion.
We are particularly honoured to present Ilona Domnich, an acclaimed lyric soprano described by Opera Now as “a memorable voice of silken beauty with a luminous edge to the tone, a sensitive musician and an actress of magnetic presence.” She was selected by the magazine as one of its Top 10 High Flyers—a new generation of sopranos achieving remarkable success. Ilona has been highlighted as Artist of the Month in Opera magazine and named by The Daily Telegraph as one of the best British‑based talents. Her artistry promises to bring extraordinary colour and emotional depth to the programme.
Our doors—and a welcoming bar—will open at 6pm, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of the historic church before the performance.
The concert will begin at 7pm and will run for approximately 90 minutes, including an interval.
Tickets are now available, with prices according to our church seating plan. All proceeds from ticket sales will support future “Music by Jack’s Lake” concerts, helping continue to foster live music within Barnet community.
