The Triduum (Latin for Three days) is THE pinnacle of the Christian year. It begins with Maundy Thursday on the 2nd April. First we join with Christians across the local area for a service at St. Albans Cathedral at 11am for Chrism Eucharist. Then we celebrate Jesus giving us the Eucharist – the meal we hold every Sunday, the place where we meet God – when he celebrated the Last Supper with his disciples. This ends with the watch, where we sit in the dark silence of the church for an hour, watching and praying at around the time Jesus was betrayed by Judas and taken to trial.
